Local Anaesthetic
This is the administration of an injection to simply numb (anaesthetise) the surgical area. Prior to any injection being administered the overlying skin (mucosa) will be numbed using an anaesthetic ointment. Please note that you will be fully awake during this procedure as a local anaesthetic only numbs the area of the surgical site.
